Continental Chess offers a $5 discount on the online entry fee for being a current New York State Chess Association (NYSCA) member (or for paying the NYSCA dues when registering online if offered). This discount is valid for most of the 2-day or 3-day tournaments Continental Chess runs in New York State. You do not have to be a New York State resident to join the New York State Chess Association.
