     Congratulations to 17-year-old GM Bharath Sbramaniyam H for finishing Clear First in the Open Section, winning the $20,500 prize--  one of the youngest players ever to win this event!

    The World Open was also a FIDE "Super Swiss" International tournament. Four players apparently earned FIDE title norms in this event (norms are subject to confirmation by US Chess and FIDE).
